Pencils
Not every person holds a piece of the Berkshires in their hand.
Taconic Twilight
Drawn from the colors of Williams College and the surrounding Berkshires, this purple wooden pencil is tinted with the native Black Cherry Tree extract, giving the wood a deep violet tone. A small touch of crushed amethyst at the end reflects the surrounding hills, adding a quiet sense of place and permanence.
Not every person holds a piece of the Amazon Rainforest in their hand.
AuNaturel
Inspired by the Amazon’s towering Tree of Life, this sustainable pencil reflects the strength and deep grain of wood shaped by decades of slow growth beneath the canopy. An accent of recycled gold is set into the pencil, following the organic form of leaves. Gold, a symbol of rarity and restraint is precious like the rainforest itself, reinforcing that what is valuable cannot be endlessly extracted without loss.
Goldgrain
All day the desert keeps its treasures hidden, but at sunset the sand loosens its grip and yellow crystals rise to the surface, flashing like stars in the light. Shaped from that same sun-cured wood and flecked with those bright grains, the pencil writes as if the landscape itself is finishing your sentences so that each line catches the light and lingers like the last glow of day.
Not every person holds a piece of Fiji in their hand.
Shoreline
Beginning as a fallen palm along the shoreline and weathered by salt air and trade winds, the wood is smoothed by years of sun before being shaped into something meant to write. In the hand, it carries the slow rhythm of the islands.
Not every person holds a piece of the Sahara Desert in their hand.
Packaging
The packaging for our pencil is a wooden box made from the same tree as the pencil itself, creating a strong connection between the object and its origin. Gold designs shaped like roots wrap around the box, symbolizing growth and the material's origin, with the tree itself engraved in gold. We chose gold not only for its value and luxury, but because it is one of the oldest minerals on Earth, representing time and permanence. This design turns the packaging into part of the story, showing that true luxury values meaning, craftsmanship, and respect for nature.
